I have been very happy with this store. Brittany, the manager, has been awesome and made sure I received top dollar for the items I brought. She even asked me to bring in more. They also have a great selection of gently used clothing, purses and other items if you want to shop as well. I continue to sell and shop at this store and I highly recommend that folks come in to see their selection and what they are willing to offer you if you choose to sell your items. I love this store. Best deals and shopping in Buford. I would rather shop at Clothes Mentor than go to the mall. All of the young ladies that work in the store are very nice, friendly and helpful. I have found some really good items in this store for less than half the orginal retail price.
They are very racist and rude ! The lady first off told me they don’t accept things in “trash bags” I was referred to them by Plato’s closet so I was not familiar with the process of having to have items in a “tote” instead of a “ trash bag” she then proceeded to look at my items and then tell me they aren’t accepting dresses and that they were too formal. and that they may can take my sandals ( that were never worn) but then say no . Very bad experience
I have only shopped through their website. I am very pleased & impressed with their customer service. I ordered a pair of shoes I was unhappy with due to wear not disclosed in photos and they happily let me return the item back. I will continue shopping here knowing they are willing to work with customers.
Sales people were very nice. I didn't care for their assessment of my clothes. I provided barely used name brand items. I looked around and saw alot of items that looked far more used than what I gave them so I'm not convince they did a good job. I thought the pricing was high for gently used items. I did end up donating 90% of my items which is what I believe they were counting on, but I won't be back. I prefer to give it to people who really need it at a reasonable price, (Salvation Army).
I sometimes wonder how they train their buyers and why I even wash and prep items to sell. They said my clothes were old and not in style or worn, yet of the 9 items they did buy, 6 items were 7 years old. 2 pairs of in style shoes they did not buy, they were purchased 2 months ago from TJ Maxx. I had a pair of black lee womans dress pants bought 6 months ago, worn once, they passed on. I do not expect them to buy everything but you have better odds picking the winning lotto numbers than trying to guess what clothes mentor will buy. Don't waste your time because even if you just bought it, and brought it in with tags still on, they won't buy it.
I totally agree with these comments! I have gently used and clothing with tags on them, just to get rejected. Took them to another consignment shop down the road and got over $100.00! And the clothes on display...smdh...majority of their items look outdated for sure! Time wasted!
I wish I was able to give them a 0 rating. The ladies working at the front have nasty attitudes. They do not have any customer service skills. Clothes Mentor if you want to continue to stay in business, you really need to train your employees. Another issue with this store is that they do not pay you well for your items. They offered me $4 for my brand new Puma sneakers.. This is modern day high way robbery. There won't be a next time for me; I would rather give my items to GoodWill for Free... I can assure you, you guys won't be in business much longer..
